Notes from September. December meetings:

Next summer Tim plans on working on the drainage in front of holes 10 and 17 during the shutdown.

Permit for the range bathrooms is with Lee County and "almost" done. It will take 60 days to implement once the permit is posted and the company is available to start.creae

Bulkhead on #17 continues to be worked with Lee County and the Engineering firm, the current issue is that no more than 20% of a lake frontage can be done with bulkheads and riff/raff. The 2 lakes on 17 are being considered as a single lake. If the bulkhead can't be built geotubes that were used on #15 near the tee area may be the new option.

In the meantime the golf course is attempting to stem erosion by adding some dirt and trying to create a more natural slope. The cart path may be removed on the green side of the pond, leveled and recreated with crushed shells to prepare for the bulkhead work.

On hole #9 a hybrid 5/6 tee will be created next to the drain approximately 40 yds behind the existing 6 tee where the architect intended the ladies forward tee. It is being done on a trial basis to mitigate the "advantage" of the hybrid tees. When the handicap holes were reviewed last year #9 was the 14th hardest hole on the course for the hybrid players. It was the hardest hole for the 5 tee players on the front and the 2nd hardest hole for the 6 tee players. As such it was assigned as the hardest handicap hole on the front. The goal is to make the hole harder for the hybrid tee players to align with the handicap.
